Nottingham City Homes

Surefire were selected by Nottingham City Homes to deliver their Social Housing Decarbonisation Demonstrator project. Blending SHDF and ECO funding, this flagship £5 Mil contract aimed to improve E, F and G rated properties to a minimum of C rated. The project spanned over 600 units across the Nottinghamshire region. 

The retrofit was installed fully in compliance with PAS 2030: 2019 and retrofit coordination delivered to 2035 standards.

Scope of Works

Adopting a fabric first approach to the works, Surefire installed a varied mix of measures.

 

External Wall Insulation

The decision was made to overclad the low rise units using the best in class Soltherm Ultimate HD Silicone system.

Soltherm Ultimate Silicone EWI system is a BBA approved external wall insulation system incorporating Dual Density Mineral Wool (DDMW) with a silicone render finish, designed to increase a building’s thermal efficiency & weather resistance.

Surefire were contracted to deliver a full scope of whole house retrofit measures over and above the Extermal insulation. These measures included:
